Register To Bid

If you’ve found an auction with items you wish to bid on, you need to register to participate in that auction. Don’t worry; it’s simple if you have an account; all you need to do is register.

click on the auction you wish to register for, and on the right-hand side, click the. blue ‘register to bid’ button

sign into your account

at the bottom of the page, you will be asked to enter your name, card details, and telephone number. You will not be billed unless you win a bid, but you cannot bid at an online auction unless you have a valid payment method in place.

Place Your Bids

Once you’ve successfully registered for the auction, the exciting part begins – placing your bids. Peruse through the lots and when you find an item you wish to bid on, click on it to view the details. Each lot will provide information including photos, descriptions, and the current bid amount.

To place a bid, enter your bid, or even a maximum bid into the corresponding field. If you place a maximum bid, Our secure system will then bid incrementally on your behalf, up to your specified limit, ensuring you remain the highest bidder until your maximum is reached. Remember that all winning bids will attract an additional buyer’s premium as specified in the auction terms and conditions.

Watch your bids closely. Auctions can be fast-paced, and it’s crucial to monitor the progress in case you need to increase your maximum limit. Once the auction closes, you will receive email notifications if you are outbid or if you are the winning bidder.

If You Win!

In timed auctions, we’ll email you if someone bids more than you so you can increase your max bid. Keep an eye on your inbox so you don’t end up losing. if you are outbid it is often by a fraction, so get back in and give it another go!

You can keep track of all your wins by logging in to your account Once the win is verified, the auctioneer will send you an invoice with details of your items and any further information about collection or delivery.

Information on collection and delivery can be found here on our website

Bidding in Person

To bid in person, you will need to register for and collect a numbered paddle from the Sales Office. Please remember to bring some proof of identities, such as a driving license, utility bill or passport. If you are a first-time bidder, you will be asked to fill in a form in which you will be asked for your address, telephone number, and email address, date of birth and signature in order to create your account. If you are bidding on behalf of a third party, you will need to provide us with a letter from that person authorising you to do so.

To place your bid simply raise your paddle until the Auctioneer acknowledges you. You will know when your bid has been acknowledged, the auctioneer will not mistake a random gesture as a bid. The bidding increments are decided by the Auctioneer, and will usually not exceed 10% of the previous bid. The Auctioneer will take increasing bids on each lot until only one bidder remains. The final bidder wins and purchases the lot.
